- Supervise, perform, and provide written/verbal care assignments, routine skills and procedures to ensure quality of care to residents.
- Participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans, maintain up-to-date nursing care plans, document progress, and make recommendations for revisions.
- Make daily and periodic visits to observe symptoms, medication reactions, and treatment outcomes.
- Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, weights, diet supplements, replacements, and cultures.
- Assist with orientation and ongoing training of staff to assure required skill levels are maintained.
- A graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid LPN license in good standing according to state and federal requirements.
- Understand safe, effective nursing practices within the state of Indiana.
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, etc.
- Personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and personnel.
- A passion for caring for people.
- Ability to be discrete and protect confidential information, staying within compliance and HIPAA.
- Knowledge of personal computer use, including Word and Excel, and office machines such as fax and copying machines.
