American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/CCU position requiring 2+ years of neuro critical care experience and IN or compact RN licensure.

• Work in a 10-bed Neurosurgical and Neurological Intensive Care unit
• Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity
• Patient population includes ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, post-op craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors
• Uses Alaris pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer
• Epic EMR used
• Night shift schedule with every other weekend commitment (Friday/Saturday nights)
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to other inpatient areas during low census periods

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience required
• Comprehensive assessment skills including thorough neurological assessment
• Experience caring for hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Pupillometer, EVD, ICP waveform management, and CRRT experience preferred

• Provide critical care nursing to neurosurgical and neurological ICU patients
• Report to 4 West in the Tower building and park in designated employee parking
• Orientation includes EMR training modules completed on first day and one day of unit orientation
• Navy scrub color required; hoodies not permitted
• Team-oriented, positive, flexible, and empathetic personality valued
• Candidates residing within 50 miles are considered local
