Description:

The Waste Disposal Team Member helps ensure that all waste from the layer and pullet houses is removed in a timely and efficient manner.

• Responsible for manure removal from the houses
• Responsible for operating removal equipment/trucks in a safe and efficient manner
• Responsible for the maintenance of equipment and trucks
• Responsible for keeping accurate paperwork
• Responsible for assisting in the general maintenance of the houses
• Any other duties assigned by management

• Must hold a valid driver's license
• Capable of performing job functions related to waste removal - including moving and operating equipment, cleaning areas, etc.
• Capable of working in an environment that may require physical exertion – due to heat, cold, wind, etc.
• Capable of learning how to properly operate and maintain forklifts, skid loaders, crawler loaders, and other equipment
• Capable of cleaning out equipment at the end of the day – basic sanitation of equipment, trucks, tools, etc.
• Capable of filling out basic paperwork (hauling statements, tonnage, bill of lading reports)
• Capable of working a flexible schedule – including some weekend work, overtime work, and occasional holidays
• Capable of lifting items weighing 50 lbs or more
• Ability to understand, read, write and speak English
• Willing to comply with all Rose Acre's safety, employment, and GMP policies including working in a 100% smoke-free environment
• Ability to comply with the strictest standards for animal welfare and to report incidents of abuse, neglect, or breach of bio‑security in order to preserve the health and welfare of our birds

• Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature and other environment specific atmospheres
• Must be willing and able to work past the scheduled leave time to complete the job, if needed
• Must maintain professionalism with coworkers
