• Join H&R Block as an experienced Bookkeeper
  , delivering exceptional bookkeeping, payroll and customer service.
• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers.
• Reconcile and balance accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Generate 1099s and W2s and calculate and prepare tax statements.
• Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors and banking contacts.
• Assist in client retention and client growth opportunities.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• National bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or the ability to successfully obtain certifications.
• 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) & procedures.
• Ability to correctly interpret and apply complete instructions, policies and regulations.
• Ability to treat confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Analytical skills and an eye for detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently.

• Experience with Xero accounting software.

This office is an independently owned and operated franchise office operating under an agreement with H&R Block. Franchisees make their own hiring decisions and any questions regarding employment at this office should be directed to the franchisee.
