Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Actively builds and maintains strong customer relationships to ensure superior customer service.
  • Ensures timely, accurate, and complete processing of monthly financial statements and departmental reports; assists with preparing month‑end journal entries.
  • Participates in daily and monthly reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assists in developing and monitoring controls and procedures to ensure such compliance.
  • Performs monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and prepares journal entries to post correcting adjustments to the General Ledger.
  • Performs special projects/audits to provide high level of expertise on matters of complex or sensitive nature (slot configuration changes, soft count variances).
  • Prepares documentation and assists internal, external, and regulatory auditors in their examination of accounting records to ensure that auditors receive adequate information and interpretation of records.
  • Responsible for responding to patron requests for W‑2G and 1099 information.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees as well as outside contacts.
  • Ability to research, analyze and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to use Excel.
  • Ability to use personal computer and 10‑key.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures and related statutory requirements.
  • Knowledge of computer applications (ACSC, LMS, lnfinium, Micros) helpful.
  • Knowledge of state gaming regulations is helpful.

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
