General Description

As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for the purchasing and support of all local Supply Chain related functions, including the management of both direct and indirect materials. Under the responsibility of the Purchase Manager, Enterprise & Cybersecurity Division, the main missions of the position are for ensuring all material is available when required to support customer orders; supporting all local indirect purchases in a timely and efficient manner, reducing overall costs, moving material between fulfillment centers as demand warrants, and driving consistent quality levels from our supply base.

This position should also contribute to achieve the corporations and regional goals/objectives set forth on an annual basis.

A week in the life of a Purchaser:

• You will contribute to the optimization of the local sourcing team in terms of cost and quality (supplier’s portfolio optimization).
• You will manage and launch RFQ / RFP and RFI to achieve optimum value in the selected market (IT, Admin, HR, etc.) and develop new suppliers in order to remain competitive.
• You will ensure all purchasing processes for both indirect and direct materials are followed per corporate guidelines.
• You will contribute to the application of the corporate strategy by ensuring the application of the Business Allocation Letter or by ensuring that we use corporate retained suppliers when possible and contribute to the adherence and reporting of corporate supplier strategies.
• You will contribute to the contractual relationship with primary local and strategic suppliers.
• You will contribute to the overall purchasing goals and objectives metrics for annualized savings, cost avoidances, and other activities as assigned during a set reporting period.
• You will contribute to the optimization of local sourcing. To do this under the authority of the direct supervisor, you will contribute to the management of key and critical supplier portfolios for the main segments and spending.

To succeed at this job, you must have:

• Knowledge of purchasing techniques and production processes, the ability to drive change and proficiency in Oracle & Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred:
  Master’s Degree in Purchasing.
• Fluency in English.
• Analytical, a strong communicator with the ability to create reports, able to negotiate effectively and be a team-player.
• Purchasing experience.
• At least 5 to 7 years of experience in purchasing related to supplier’s portfolio, management or contract negotiation.
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time domestic/international.
