About the Gas Transmission Integrity Engineer Role

CenterPoint Energy is looking for a Gas Transmission Integrity Engineer to join their team in Indiana/Ohio/Minnesota/Texas. This role is responsible for executing the compliance requirements for the Transmission Integrity Management Program (TIMP) as required by 49 CFR 192 Subpart O.

The Gas Transmission Integrity Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Updating and maintaining transmission pipeline risk modeling
  • Mining transmission asset data to analyze and determine threats to pipelines
  • Implementing procedures for material verification and maximum allowable operating pressure (MAOP) reconfirmation
  • Coordinating with Engineering and System Planning on transmission pipeline projects
  • Developing long-term infrastructure investment plans
  • Reviewing transmission work order documentation
  • Performing engineering analysis and technical support for the TIMP program
  • Reviewing and approving transmission pipeline engineering designs
  • Providing support for DIMP/TIMP regulatory, data requests, and internal audits
  • Providing data for internal and external performance reporting
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, or other approved engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
    • Minimum of two years’ experience in integrity management, compliance, utility design, or related project construction design
