Description

RENK Systems Corporation, located in Camby, IN, is the U.S. hub for test systems and other special machinery, domestically and abroad. RENK is the world leader in the design and manufacture of helicopter transmission test stands for development and end‑of‑line testing. In addition, RENK delivers world‑class test equipment to other industries including aviation, renewable energy (wind turbine), defense and automotive.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated commissioning engineer to support the commissioning, troubleshooting and optimization of our diverse test benches and test systems.

Essential Functions
  • Commissioning of test benches and test bench software.
  • Implementation of metrological investigations and analyses.
  • Ensuring the functionality of various individual components/subsystems such as electrical drives, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and controls.
  • Coordination of commissioning and processes with external and internal interfaces up to successful final acceptance.
  • Guiding and supervising commissioning in the various technical areas.
  • First point of contact on site for customers and cooperating trades.
  • Provide customer support for test rigs in operation across multiple sites in the U.S.
  • Own the complete process of troubleshooting, quoting spare parts/services, implementing solutions.
  • Make service trip arrangements (dispatching).
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, along with 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • The listed education and experience requirements serve as general guidelines and may be balanced with other factors when determining job level.
  • Candidates with additional relevant education or experience beyond what is stated may also be considered, even if they do not meet every requirement exactly.
  • Strong aptitude in one or more of the following areas: mechanical, electrical/electronic, and programming.
  • Ability to work independently, strong self‑motivation skills.
  • Must be flexible, maintain a positive can‑do attitude.
  • Must be able to quickly learn the various systems and components comprising RENK equipment.
  • Must be able to react to customer situations with a sense of urgency and in a professional manner.
  • Must gain customer trust through integrity and professionalism.
  • Professional experience in special machine construction and plant commissioning.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Beckhoff/TwinCAT or Siemens S7/TIA‑Portal).
  • Knowledge of control and drive technology.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.
  • Willingness to make regular worldwide business trips.
  • Up to 60% travel required including extended stays.
