Lilly is currently constructing a cutting-edge facility for the manufacture of new modalities including Gene Therapy. At Lebanon, Indiana, this facility will be Lilly’s most technically advanced manufacturing site focused on the delivery of the next wave of innovative products at Lilly.
This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the team for the startup of a greenfield manufacturing site, and the successful candidate will participate in the start-up of the facility responsible for both clinical and commercial supply. We are seeking a Utility Operations Supervisor for night shift at Lebanon Advanced Therapies Manufacturing Site to provide oversight of all utility operations, monitor operations in compliance with cGMP, and ensure equipment and systems is available, maintained, and repaired to the applicable standards.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assuring compliance with site procedures
- Facilitating and communicating site utility events
- Functional and technical leadership for our utility operations team
- Monitoring and reporting utility system performance to site stakeholders
- Responsible lead for coordinating and executing site utility operations
- Support equipment failure investigations and/or root cause analysis into utility systems
Key Responsibilities for the Lebanon Facility Pre-Startup and Startup Phase include:
- Training and on-boarding on day shift initially, then supporting a 24/7 operation during peak activities for start-up on night shift
- Utility operations supervision will be 24/7/365 at the site
- Leading a safety-first, quality always utility operations team
- Responding quickly and proactively to changing priorities within a reasonable timeframe
- Cross-functional collaboration with Global Facility Delivery (GFD) to support project delivery
- Participating in system Lockout Tagout (LOTO), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) work plans
- Supporting and/or participating in system verification (commissioning and qualification) including system startup, shakedowns, initial/operational verification, and/or equipment qualification
Lebanon Facility Post Startup responsibilities include:
- Working a night shift position: 5pm - 5:15am, 12-hour shifts, 3-2-2-3 format
- Acting as a point of contact for utility escalations and system communication
- Providing direct reports supervision in the planning and implementation of their assigned duties and in developing goals and objectives
- Ensuring consistent work practices and implemented and applied to utility operations best practices
- Ensuring that the facility is always in an inspection readiness state for internal and external audits
- Escorting contractors and ensuring training requirements are met before performing work
- Maintaining full knowledge of the building monitor system (BMS) to support troubleshooting activities related to Utility systems
- Monitoring overall job environmental, health and safety aspects and understanding the risks associated with various utility maintenance and repair activities
- Recognizing hazard conditions, taking appropriate workplace safety measures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment to suit work environment
- Performing all aspects of the position by following cGMP’s and Safety/OSHA regulations
- Providing 24-hour emergency response
- Providing technical expertise to assist the Utility Operators in trouble shooting all problems as they occur on equipment in the Utility Room and within the Facility
