Equity Trader

The Equity Trader will be responsible for executing equity trades across international and regional markets, analyzing market trends, managing portfolio positions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will have solid trading experience, risk management skills, and a strong understanding of market fundamentals and technical indicators.

Execute buy and sell orders in global and regional equity markets.

Monitor real-time market data, news, and price trends to identify trading opportunities.

Conduct fundamental and technical analysis to support trade decisions.

Maintain and update trading logs, position books, and daily P&L reports.

Ensure trades are executed within risk and compliance parameters.

Work with the risk and compliance teams to adhere to trading policies.

Assist in portfolio strategy planning and diversification.

Track global economic and financial indicators affecting equities.

Liaise with brokers and counter parties for efficient trade execution and settlements.

Use trading platforms and tools (Bloomberg, Reuters, Meta Trader, etc.) effectively.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (CFA is a plus).

2–3 years of experience in UAE as an equity trader or in a similar capital markets role.

Proven track record in active equity trading with risk-adjusted returns.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

Proficiency in trading platforms and financial software.

Understanding of equity markets, margin trading, and settlement procedures.

Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks in the UAE and globally.

Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing trading team.

Experience in the UAE financial markets and DMCC regulatory framework.

Exposure to multi-asset trading (commodities, derivatives, FX) is a plus.

Familiarity with global stock exchanges (NYSE, NASDAQ, LSE, etc.).
