Location:
Indiana, PA (onsite)
- Coordinate the provision of direct patient care according to Nursing Care Standards.
- Promote and adhere to the IRMC core values of ICARE (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) and G.R.E.A.T. (greet/respond/explain/ask/thank) customer service standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, reassess, and document patient care in accordance with the interdisciplinary treatment plan.
- Apply knowledge of age-specific needs, care of mentally ill persons, relevant laws and standards (e.g., Chapter 5100 of the M.H. Procedures Act, CMS and CIHQ standards), patient rights and confidentiality.
- Provide therapeutic 1:1 care and lead or co-lead therapeutic groups/activities; provide patient and family teaching.
- Collaborate with physicians and other disciplines to develop, implement, and revise each patient’s interdisciplinary treatment and discharge plan.
- Direct and support other disciplines to maintain professional nursing standards.
- Represent IRMC mission, vision, and values; follow IRMC policies and procedures to ensure quality care.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication with patients, families, and team members; assist in patient and family education.
- Function as charge nurse as assigned; may float to all units, including geropsych, adult, and adolescent.
Required:
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. - Experience:
1 year medical-surgical and/or 1 year geriatric experience; 1 year behavioral health experience. - Licensure/Certification:
Current RN license in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain; BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire.
