Are you passionate about delivering a top-tier employee experience while maintaining precision and compliance? We’re looking for a detail-oriented Employee Data Specialist to join our growing HR operations team!
This role offers the flexibility of working fully remote
, but we’re seeking someone based in the Indianapolis greater area to allow for occasional in-person collaboration or team events.
- Manage both involuntary and voluntary separation processes
, balancing compliance with empathy to ensure a smooth employee experience. - Act as the primary point of contact for employees with questions about their final day, benefits, and offboarding details.
- Coordinate with Legal partners to compile and deliver accurate documentation requests.
- Oversee and audit the U.S. work authorization program
, ensuring data accuracy and compliance through vendor management and system checks. - Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality in line with HIPAA and data protection regulations.
- Collaborate closely with Recruitment and Payroll teams to resolve employee data cases efficiently.
- Conduct Workday audits and maintain data integrity across employee records.
- Build and maintain dashboards, templates, reports, and metrics to support HR initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and lead continuous improvement efforts across the HR Operations function.
- Support onboarding and training for new specialists and mentor junior team members.
- 3+ years of HR experience
, with a focus on resolving complex employee inquiries and data issues. - Hands‑on experience with HRIS systems (Workday strongly preferred).
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑first mindset.
- Proven ability to manage high volumes of cases with attention to detail and urgency.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting).
- Strong time management, organization, and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
