Senior ETL Tester

Responsibilities

• Overall 9+ yrs of ETL experience.
• Proficient in Python programming / Ability to write and execute Python scripts.
• Extensive experience in performing data analysis on data mapping and functional design documents to understand ETL processing.
• Validate data landed from source to target is correct.
• Understand source to target mappings.
• Understand business rules to meet user requirements.
• Profile data.
• Work with workstream leads and developers as needed.
• Create and execute test cases.
• Report and retest defects.
• Understand and interpret logical design document and data model diagrams to understand requirements.
• Effectively communicate issues and raise concerns to work stream leads.
• Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of customers data flows and business models.
• Effectively communicate project status to workstream leads.
• Manage and control changes in project scope while communicating impact to work stream leads.
• Proactively work to identify, communicate and resolve project issues and risks that interfere with project execution or success.
• Work effectively on multiple assignments, activities or projects.
• Manage individual work load and assist other team members as needed.
• Help to identify, isolate, and communicate data problems within environments.
• Ability to work individually and within groups.
• Ensure appropriate project controls are met.

• 9+ years of relevant experience in a data warehousing role.
• 9+ years of experience with relevant software, including:
  Microsoft Office applications, MS Project, Visio and data modeling tools.
• 9+ years of quality assurance experience.
• 9+ years of quality assurance methodologies.
• Ability to create and execute complex queries for large data sets using SQL or big data technologies.
• Sound experience in analyzing data.
• Experience with data profiling.
• Experience in translating business requirements into conceptual and logical models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good background working with data schemas.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent visual information skills (e.g. data-oriented use cases).
• Experience with agile (Scrum and Kanban).
• Experience with data movement tools such as Informatica.
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in data sciences, computer science or related field.
