We are seeking a top-notch, Mid West based, Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair state-of-the-art laboratory instruments. This job is all about skillfully servicing and supporting Uncle, Aunty, Lunatic, Stunner, Sunny Suite and others in our Biologics and Gene Therapy product portfolio while building famous relationships with customers. You will enable customers to meet their research and development goals thereby making an oversized impact on customer and Unchained Labs success.

The Job

• On-site field support engineer, how delivers preventive services, installs cool analytics tools and large-scale lab automation systems, and builds great customer relationships
• Super-flexible environment, you schedule your calls, we’re here to support you and make you successful
• You’ll get to work across the org with smart scientists, other engineers, and the rest of us to get things done
• Significant travel (really)
• Based in Mid-West Area

Responsibilities

• Provide uncommonly excellent customer service and make customers happy!
• Travel to customer sites to perform installation, preventative maintenance, and repairs
• Provide remote troubleshooting assistance to customers
• Log service cases and detailed reports in Salesforce CRM
• Prioritize your customer caseload and plan your schedule, travel, and materials accordingly
• Be a customer advocate – provide customer feedback and field perspective to make us better at meeting customer needs.

Qualifications

• Based in the Mid West area preferably Indianna, Missouri or Wisconsin and near an airport
• Bachelors degree in a STEM field or equivalent industry experience
• Preferred: 3+ years of field service experience with complex equipment; however, candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience may be considered if highly qualified.
• Strong operator and troubleshooting skills for electro-opto-mechanical systems
• Strong written and verbal communicator
• Self-driven and thrive in an environment of high-performance expectations
• Willing to travel up to 80%; primarily within the Mid West USA and occasionally throughout North America
