Cayuga Christian Church is located in rural West Central Indiana. We are a Christ-centered, Bible-believing community focused on discipleship, worship, spiritual growth, and outreach. Our average weekly attendance is around 130 and includes a multigenerational congregation with strong youth and children's ministries. We currently have a full-time Youth Minister and a part-time Children's Minister on staff, and we are excited to welcome a new Preaching Minister to serve alongside them as we serve our community and church family.

Cayuga Christian Church is prayerfully seeking a full-time Preaching Minister who is passionate about Jesus, committed to sound biblical teaching, and ready to serve in a small-town church with a big heart for the Gospel. The ideal candidate should be faithful, teachable, and passionate about sharing the Gospel. They should be a servant‑leader who shepherds the Cayuga Christian congregation and actively engages with the local community.

The candidate is responsible for equipping God’s people to do His work and empowering them to be active participants in extending our church to the community. The Preaching Minister will work together as part of a team with the ministry staff. This position reports to the Elder Board.

• Develop and preach sermons during Sunday morning worship services
• Plan, lead, and teach Wednesday night Bible study
• Oversee small group leaders and participants, including providing necessary resources and training, evaluating effectiveness, and actively recruiting new leaders as needs arise
• Foster a teamwork environment with the ministry staff, aligning teams toward the church mission and evaluating church and community needs
• Coordinate and arrange classes regarding church membership and baptism, encouraging next steps in faith
• Provide one‑on‑one discipleship as needed
• Actively be a connecting beacon for the community, serving as a faithful and encouraging representative at church and local events
• Serve alongside the Elders in providing pastoral care to congregation members, including hospital and nursing home visits
• Perform marriage counseling, funerals, baptisms, and weddings as needed
• Participate in and attend staff meetings and retreats
• Be an active participant in Elder and Board meetings, providing feedback, insight, and biblical guidance for decision‑making
• Consistently be an evangelist for the Christian faith, helping others develop a relationship with Jesus
• Assist all other ministry staff as needed, including providing relevant discipleship and support resources for families and all generations

• Excellent communication skills that help pave the pathway toward a relationship with God
• Strong theological knowledge and understanding of Scripture
• Strong interpersonal skills that foster meaningful relationships within the congregation
• Ability to navigate computer tools such as Planning Center, worship presentation software, word processing, and spreadsheets
• Previous ministry experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in ministry

• This position includes a mix of in‑office and out‑of‑office hours, with the expectation that work occurs both at the church and in the community
• Evening and weekend hours are required
