Senior Park Controller

Role Purpose: To oversee the day-to-day operations, upkeep, and presentation of the museum’s gardens and outdoor spaces, ensuring they are well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for visitors, in line with Qatar Museums’ standards of excellence and cultural presentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Specialized Technical Support
• Assist with Budget production
• Assist in Project Planning & Execution
• Coordinate the responsible for the Maintenance of the MIA Park area. Maintenance responsibilities including MEP works, Children playgrounds, Irrigation pump room, park fountains, Kiosks, Park Toilets, etc
• Monitor contractors’ day-to-day progress and coordinate daily activities associated with Property and Park Equipment Maintenance
• Assist in managing and operating all MIA Park operations, Events, Activities, Programs, and contracts.
• Arranging site walkthrough with all MIA Park contractors, suppliers, and event management companies
• Coordinate and follow up with FM
  - Planning team for new projects, MWR’s and contractors’ invoices.
• Assist in arranging security access to any delivery to MIA Park area such as park contractors, Park food trucks, event organization.
• Oversee and assist monitoring activities carried out by third party in MIA Park.
• Coordinating with QM-Event Team for any events held in MIA Park.
• Coordinating with QM- IN-Q for operating the park food trucks and park activities
• Coordinate with the cleaning contractor to make sure cleaning standards are maintained at the highest level.
• Coordinate and monitoring of Daily, weekly, monthly progress reports for all park contractors related operations at park area.
• Assist in maintaining the MIA Park Area, operating system, and coordinating with Park contractor’s service provider to maintain the area and uphold responsibilities
• Assist in Identifying issues, recommends, and implements strategies for the protection of park resources
• Respond to emergencies on 24/7
• Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, fire/life safety, and other systems.
• Most of the job duties will be outside.
• Tasks require the ability to exert very moderate physical effort in light work
• Operates necessary machinery for park patrol and field preparation and maintenance

• Thorough Theoretical as well as Practical knowledge along with Hands on Experience on the landscaping, operations, maintenance involving but not limited
• Very good problem analysing and resolving skills related to the equipment.
• Computer proficiency.
• High School Diploma or college level coursework a related field;
  Bachelor’s degree desirable.
• 0-3 years’ experience in relevant experience in park preservation. Or any equivalent combination of education and experience any combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
