Responsibilities- Greet guests with a smile and pleasant dispositionin a timely manner.
- Must be familiar with menu, daily specials, and preparation of foods and prices.
- Use suggestive selling (i.e., cocktails, appetizers, desserts, etc.).
- Take guest’s orders and accurately input the order into the computer.
- Observe andanticipateguest’s needs,keepingtableclearedbetween courses, and beverages filled throughout their meal.
- Present check for payment when all guest needs have been met.
- Complete assigned side work andadditionaldaily tasks.
- Servetablecompletely, using trays and covers on food, serving all sides and accompaniments ina timely, efficient manner according to all standards and sequence of service.
- Check with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems, immediately notifying the Assistant Restaurant Manager on duty.
- Inform immediate Assistant Restaurant Manager if situations arise with guests or fellow team members that cannot be handled directly.
- Serve Food and Beverages to guests in a quick,efficient and courteous manner.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Six (6) months' experience as a server in a dining establishment preferred.
- Previous cash handling experience is preferred.
- Must have excellent guest service skills.
- Able tooperatea point of sale (POS) System and/or adding machine and make change.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Adequate mathematical skills and the ability to understand andutilizea POS system/count money and provide change.
- Able to work varied shifts and hours.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, anddemonstratessuperior customer servicein accordance with department and company standards and programs.
