Crane Werks is a fast-growing overhead crane manufacturer based in Morristown, Indiana. We are dedicated to providing top-quality material handling solutions and are currently seeking a motivated Service Technician/Crane Inspector to join our team. This role involves regular local and regional travel to worksites.

Role Description

As a Service Technician/Crane Inspector, you will perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs on overhead cranes and related lifting equipment. You will ensure compliance with OSHA/ASME criteria, troubleshoot crane systems, assemble and repair machinery, and complete all necessary documentation promptly. This position requires a solid background in industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of industrial electrical/mechanical experience required
  • 5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting 480v 3-phase motor control systems is a plus
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Some computer proficiency preferred
  • Good driving record required
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Seeking experienced crane technicians or individuals with electrical/mechanical experience and a desire to apply their skills to the crane industry
Physical Requirements
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to work at heights
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and sit or stand for long periods of time
As our Service Technician/Crane Inspector, you will:
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs on overhead cranes and related lifting equipment
  • Conduct inspections according to OSHA/ASME criteria
  • Troubleshoot crane systems, including electrical circuits and equipment malfunctions
  • Assemble and repair complex machinery
  • Complete all appropriate documentation in a timely manner
