Overview
At BWXT Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BWXT), we manufacture naval nuclear reactors and advanced nuclear solutions to support U.S. defense and national security missions. We are seeking an experienced Electrician to maintain, repair, and service high‑performance electronic and electrical equipment.
Day to Day Responsibilities- Safely diagnose and repair electronic and electrical machinery, tools, and instrumentation throughout our facilities.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and specifications to plan, install, adjust, and maintain electrical systems.
- Design and construct component adaptations or conversions for custom electronic assemblies.
- Assemble, adjust, and replace faulty wiring and components in electronic equipment.
- Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs in support of electronic equipment servicing.
- Install, maintain, or repair all communication cables, power distribution systems, and primary power links.
- Move material and equipment safely using hand or material‑handling equipment, including overhead cranes.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work area and keep all tools and equipment in proper working condition.
- Detect, report, and follow up on defective operations and faulty materials.
- Keep accurate performance and maintenance records for all work performed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Two‑year technical certification, military training, or equivalent training with two years of on‑the‑job experience.
- Must pass required quality control testing.
- Must be able to climb to any height.
- Must supply adequate personal tools.
- Must comply with all safety and plant rules, regulations, and practices and attend training classes as required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Shift work; willingness to work any shift.
- PLC experience (Siemens preferred).
- Industrial electrician experience, including conduit bending.
- Substation switch gear experience.

Base salary of $74,665.11 per year, with potential annual cash incentive and full benefits of health, dental, retirement, and other benefits.
