Responsibilities

  • Spectron Rx is a growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) based in Indianapolis, Indiana, with additional locations currently in South Bend, IN and new locations planned for Bunker Hill, IN, Danbury, CT and a yet to be determined west coast site. We are seeking an experienced Radiochemist to join our growing company. The Radiochemist will perform all duties to check the quality of a Radiopharmaceutical product, raw material, finished and semi-finished product, environment and facilities.
  • Follow SOPs for QC release testing of Radiopharmaceutical product, raw material, finished and semi-finished product, environment, and facilities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety and pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Follow the principles of ALARA in compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with R&D qualification and validation activities.
  • Experience with laboratory procedures and radiochemistry techniques.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Physical Ability – Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Travel

Required

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s or PhD degree in Chemistry or related field required.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Thorough understanding of project management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid Indiana driver's license
  • Pass a Background Check.
