About CC departmentThe College of Computing is a central component of the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) with campuses in Benguerir and Rabat.
The goal of CC department is to set up an unprecedented research-education program, of international level, to address the UM6P challenges in terms of research and education, covering all aspects of computer science, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, data sciences, algorithms, databases, cloud computing, software engineering, networking, operating systems , security and computational materials science.
Description of the position and dutiesCC-UM6P is currently accepting applications for two postdoc positions in the development of electrode materials for ultrahigh performance of metal-ion batteries via advanced multi-scale computational modeling. The focus will be on integrating advanced multi-scale computational modeling in material science and experimental techniques to innovate and enhance electrode materials for lithium and sodium-ion batteries.
Position Requirements- A Ph.D. in physics, computational materials science, or a related discipline completed within the last 5 years.
- Strong background in multiscale simulations (ab initio calculations, molecular dynamics, computational modeling) and materials science.
- Excellent skills and understanding in physical-chemistry of materials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural team, to set priorities to accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines, and adapt to ever changing needs.
