The Shift Leader supervises shifts and/or work areas in the operation of Papa John’s restaurant to ensure high quality products and customer service are delivered and restaurant profitability is achieved. Responsibilities include managing operations, executing company policies, procedures, programs and systems, ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local laws, and upholding ethical business practices.

• Adhere to guidelines, techniques and expectations for each station, including dough management, accuracy and proper portioning. Perform assigned workstation duties such as making quality products, following all product preparations procedures and maintaining established product holding times.
• Consistently contribute to achieving the company’s product goal. Commit to meeting customer needs, minimizing complaints and responding appropriately. Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the TM handbook.
• Exemplify core values, maintain a positive attitude, work well with others, and remain flexible and adaptable to change.
• Ensure adequate shift coverage for the restaurant. Provide immediate feedback, correct problems when identified, and maintain product quality, customer service, and performance standards such as MCE readiness, food/labor costs, cleanliness, etc.
• Contribute to profit goals by ensuring they stay within company guidelines and target goals through accurate use of the FOCUS system. Execute cash management duties and assist in inventory management to minimize loss.

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Ser‑Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification preferred
• Previous restaurant shift lead experience preferred
• Successful and stable employment history
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to work long hours (32+ hours generally required), scheduled or unscheduled, including nights, weekends and emergencies
• Ability to successfully perform the job duties of all positions in the restaurant.
