The West Virginia Black Bears are looking for a member of our team to come in with a passion and commitment to be the best and are motivated by the opportunity to grow their respective careers. The Sponsorship & Sales Manager will be responsible for sponsorship, and ticket sales (season tickets, group packages, suites and sponsor ships via phone calls, face to face appointments, in-stadium meetings and special events), coordinating game day promotional events, developing non-game day events, assist with marketing and oversee intern and game-day associates.

Schedule: Must be available to work at all home West Virgina Black Bears games.

• Sell sponsorship to new and existing clients
• Advocate group sales to local businesses and organizations
• Make ticket sales (specifically groups and suites) in the Pro Venue ticketing system
• Manage a portfolio of accounts by building and fostering relationships with clients
• Aid in development of off-season/non-game day events hosted by the West Virginia Black Bears including acquiring funding/sponsorship, planning and promotion, and execution of events
• Work with the team creating new ideas and inventory for sponsorship sales, promotions, ticket packs, etc.
• Oversee hospitality during West Virginia Black Bears games, checking on suites, sponsors, etc.
• Aid others in game day duties during West Virginia Black Bears’ games as needed
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  Associate’s degree accepted
• Experience working in sports is preferred
• Sales and account management experience is preferred
• Personable; hospitality work experience is a plus
• Strong desire to learn about the business and grow your professional career
• Effectively express ideas verbally and in writing
• Be able to generate original and imaginative solutions to business opportunities
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and maintain a flexible work schedule
