We are currently seeking an Alarm Monitor and Dispatch Technician (27004) to support our Crane, Indiana customer. The shift will be determined at hiring, but normal schedules are: day shift (0600‑1800) and night shift (1800‑0600).
The primary purpose of this position is to monitor alarms, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), maintain information in Consolidated Law Enforcement Operation Center (CLEOC), system sending/cancelling of mass notifications base and tenant wide (AtHoc), monitor Thor Guard Lightning Prediction and Warning System, operate Federal Signal Giant Voice System, maintain operations and visual of electronic gates for local tenant command, serve as a key point of contact between representative of public safety and other local tenant commands, and maintain radio communications associated with the daily security and special security operations.
Additional duties include:
- Familiarity with standard police and fire protection/prevention techniques and practices relating to various types of emergencies to enable incumbent to understand and relay information accurately during multi‑agency response/recalls
- Operate communication equipment to include: radio console, portable radios, secure telephone equipment, and must be able to send electronic messages and alerts
- Clear and concise verbal and written communications
- Understanding of several duress codes and the knowledge to take the proper actions for unannounced alarms
- Must be Proficient in Windows computer system
- Must have a working knowledge of ESS (Electronic Security System): CCTV – Electronic Access Control System
- Shift will be determined at hiring, but will either be days (0600‑1800) or nights (1800‑0600)
- Must be available for twenty‑four (24) hour recall and be willing to work shift work
- Must demonstrate a willingness to change shifts with limited notification
- Must participate in continuing education and training courses
- Must demonstrate oral and written (print and cursive) proficiency in the English language
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1‑3 years of relevant and related experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
