Event Crowd Control & Security Support Staff

Job Summary:

Houston Skilled Consultancy is actively seeking dependable, observant, and proactive individuals to join our Event Crowd Control & Security Support team. As a critical part of our event safety operations, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, order, and smooth flow of attendees during high-profile public events, private functions, concerts, sporting events, exhibitions, and corporate gatherings. Your presence will help create a secure and welcoming environment while delivering a professional level of service.

• Manage crowd flow and enforce access control at event entrances, exits, and restricted zones

• Monitor attendee behavior and report suspicious activities or safety concerns to supervisors

• Assist with emergency evacuations or first aid coordination, if required

• Support venue staff with guest directions and general inquiries

• Maintain a visible and approachable security presence throughout the venue

• Conduct routine perimeter and internal patrols before, during, and after the event

• Ensure compliance with event rules, safety protocols, and security guidelines

• Cooperate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and event organizers when necessary

• Manage queue lines and prevent overcrowding in key areas

• Handle minor conflicts with professionalism and escalate major incidents per protocol

• Strong observational and situational awareness skills

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure

• Must be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods

• Basic understanding of security protocols and public safety procedures

• Professional demeanor and ability to follow instructions precisely

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

• Valid Security Guard License (as per local/state requirements) – preferred but not mandatory for all roles

• Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision

• Prior experience in crowd management, event security, hospitality, or public safety is an asset

• Freshers with a positive attitude and willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply

• Training will be provided for selected candidates without prior experience

• Shifts will vary depending on event schedules (weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays)

• Flexible part-time and on-call shifts available (4–12 hour shifts)

• Candidates must be willing to work irregular hours based on event needs

• Understanding of emergency evacuation plans and crowd control techniques

• Awareness of behavioral cues and de-escalation strategies

• Familiarity with two-way radio usage and basic reporting methods

• Ability to follow site-specific protocols and collaborate with diverse teams

• Capability to remain alert and responsive in dynamic environments
