Position SummaryThis position is responsible for the service, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems including chillers, air conditioners, heaters, and related equipment. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are required to identify system issues and perform timely repairs. The technician is also responsible for completing accurate service reports and processing warranty claims, ensuring detailed documentation and customer satisfaction.
Position Duties / Responsibilities- Service, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment including chillers, air conditioners, heaters, and other related systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to ensure optimal system performance.
- Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Accurately complete service reports detailing work performed, findings, and recommendations.
- Prepare and submit warranty claims and documentation as required by manufacturers and company policy.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company procedures during all service activities.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding service updates, findings, and recommendations.
- Mentor junior members of the team.
- No formal responsibility for supervising others.
- High School or GED
- 5+ years of customer service experience
- 5+ years of experience with HVAC and heaters
- Proficiency with relevant software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, design tools, coding languages)
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record per company standards
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Certification in Diesel Technology
- 2+ years supervisory experience
- 8+ years of customer service experience
- 8+ years of HVAC troubleshooting and repair
