Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician II to join our team and serve our clients in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. This role builds on Level I responsibilities with advanced skills, certifications, and leadership to lead installation teams. The technician will configure and program devices and management platforms, oversee system commissioning, and deliver customer training.
Responsibilities- Execute all Level I installer roles and responsibilities, following documentation to uphold high standards.
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills handling project and service tickets, ensuring streamlined interaction and prompt updates.
- Show deep understanding of project scopes and service expectations, taking accountability for assigned tasks and delivering outstanding results.
- Assume leadership responsibilities by delegating tasks within team capabilities, fostering collaboration and growth.
- When leading a team, mentor Level 1 installers, maintain high standards, and seek feedback for continuous improvement.
- Maintain regular communication channels with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers, ensuring seamless execution.
- Showcase expertise in nurse call systems, card access systems, and video surveillance products.
- Pursue ongoing professional development, focusing on leadership and communication skills.
- Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) of products before installation, ensuring quality and performance.
- Demonstrate proficiency in system configuration and commissioning, providing reliable solutions.
- Embrace role flexibility and accept additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years in a construction trade.
- Advanced knowledge of electricity (high/low voltage).
- Hands‑on field experience from prior work.
- Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, networking, VoIP).
- Ability to identify and use common low‑voltage cabling.
- Working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations, and IP addressing.
- Ability to read architectural drawings.
- Team management/supervisor experience.
- Experience completing projects within scope.
- Experience with service ticketing processes.
- Knowledge of fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Valid US driver’s license.
