MaintenanceMechanic What this job involves?
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and facilities.
- Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts, rekey doors, and cut keys while maintaining key logs.
- Assist the operations team in building and equipment maintenance and repair.
- Perform general interior maintenance tasks, including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems.
- Handle minor plumbing repairs.
- Complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
- Assist with moving office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
- Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and comply with safety procedures and regulations.
- Adhere to compliance with state, county, or city ordinances, codes, and laws.
- Follow policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Document work performance and materials procurement as required.
- Perform other operational tasks typical of the Maintenance Mechanic role.

- Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable, with a minimum of three years of working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
- Ability to rekey doors and cut new keys for the buildings in the area.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills in English.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed policies and procedures.
