Rolls‑Royce is looking for a Control Software Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on flagship Rolls‑Royce programs and play a vital role in solving some of the most complex and interesting technological challenges in the industry while being part of a global, multi‑disciplinary team.
As a Control Software Engineer, you will develop, write, test and document embedded code for safety critical electronic engine control and monitoring systems.
You may be involved at any stage of a project lifecycle from concept development, integrated/component testing through final production release.
You’ll usually work in project teams with colleagues in other branches of engineering.

What you will be doingWith this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
- Strong development experience
- Familiarity with the design and development of embedded software solutions
- Knowledge in software design patterns
- Familiarity with Integration (software/hardware and software/software) and component level testing
- Familiarity on software lifecycle (Design to release)
- Knowledge of software testing framework

Basic Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline with 1+ years Software (traditional and model‑base) experience, OR
- Master’s degree in STEM discipline with experience in Software OR
- PhD in degree in STEM discipline with experience in Software
- In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen
- 1+ year of experience in embedded safety critical software engineering
- Familiar with Model based software design and simulation (Simulink or similar)
- Use a DO-178 compliant software coding process.
- Control systems experience
- Digital logic design experience
- Familiar with verification and testing frameworks
- Familiar with working in agile software development teams
- Current (or ability to obtain/maintain) US DOD Secret or Top Secret security…
