Work Calendar & Hours178 Days; periods based on availability. CPCSC is a Non-PERF District.
Position PurposeMonitor and supervise the pool facilities, enforcing policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions- Monitor and enforce pool rules and policies.
- Keep the facility clean and organized.
- Know the facility's emergency action plan, and how to engage it.
- Perform life saving duties when needed.
- Answer patrons' questions and follow up on requests.
- Assist with the opening and closing of the facility as needed.
- Attend all scheduled meetings.
- Maintain a good level of physical fitness.
- Respond to medical emergencies; perform first aid and use proper lifesaving equipment and techniques.
- Provide customer service to patrons, including handling customer conflict and complaints.
Skills and Abilities
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills, as well as quality people skills.
- Knowledge of the school's pool rules and policies.
- Ability to adapt to emergency situations.
- Ability to swim.
- Must have or be willing to obtain a lifeguard certification and have the credentials before applying.
- Experience working with peers.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
- Background and knowledge of physical fitness, athletics, sports, swimming, and/or coaching.
