Building Principal

Hourly Non-Exempt

$15.00/hour

178 Days; periods based on availability. CPCSC is a Non-PERF District.

Monitor and supervise the pool facilities, enforcing policies and procedures.

• Monitor and enforce pool rules and policies.
• Keep the facility clean and organized.
• Know the facility's emergency action plan, and how to engage it.
• Perform life saving duties when needed.
• Answer patrons' questions and follow up on requests.
• Assist with the opening and closing of the facility as needed.
• Attend all scheduled meetings.
• Maintain a good level of physical fitness.
• Respond to medical emergencies; perform first aid and use proper lifesaving equipment and techniques.
• Provide customer service to patrons, including handling customer conflict and complaints.

• Must possess good oral and written communication skills, as well as quality people skills.
• Knowledge of the school's pool rules and policies.
• Ability to adapt to emergency situations.
• Ability to swim.

• Must have or be willing to obtain a lifeguard certification and have the credentials before applying.
• Experience working with peers.
• Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
• Background and knowledge of physical fitness, athletics, sports, swimming, and/or coaching.
