- The ability to follow OSHA and Dealers Wholesale safety standards and regulations.
- Five years non CDL truck driving experience and fork-lift certification are strongly preferred, but not required.
- DOT medical card, or the ability to get one.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- The ability to regularly lift heavy materials, often weighing up to 125 pounds.
- The ability to lift, carry, push, climb, balance, kneel, and reach on a daily basis.
- A detail oriented, dedicated, positive and professional attitude.
In order to smoothly and successfully run a business in the Commercial Multi-Family industry focused on Doors, Frames, and Hardware, Dealers Wholesale must be able to accurately and efficiently deliver products to clients around the state of Indiana. The mission for this role is to work directly with the Logistics Manager to ensure delivery of finished goods to internal and external customers in a safe and timely manner.
This position works directly with the Logistics Manager to ensure delivery of manufactured and finished building products (doors, frames, and hardware). This opportunity requires an individual to communicate effectively with jobsite customers as well as other construction trades. Primarily serving the Central Indiana market. The individual is expected to exhibit the core values of the company - to Own It, Work as One Team, Find a Way, and Play to Win.
- Carry out routine vehicle checks
- Maintain and keep your assigned vehicle clean
- Load and unload trucks (by hand or fork lift), as needed
- Make sure load is correctly placed and secure
- Safely operate medium to light duty truck (automatic transmission)
- Effectively maneuver truck in and out of jobsites and loading docks
- Maintain required company paperwork
- Ensuring all orders are delivered complete
- Ensuring all paperwork is properly filled out when loading trucks
- Help organize and identify finished good material
- Assist in the warehouse and production areas, as needed
- Unload trucks via pallet jack or fork lift
- Including material identification
- Properly stage in each department
- Unload trucks via pallet jack or fork lift
- Help receiving coordinator check-in material
- Keep dock area clean and clutter free for a safe work environment
