As part of HDR’s Transportation Business Group, you will help shape the systems that move people and goods safely, efficiently, and sustainably. From designing resilient highways and iconic bridges to advancing transit, rail, aviation, and marine infrastructure, your work will directly support economic vitality, public safety, and quality of life.
Responsibilities- Oversee staff and workload balancing for the Indiana Bridge Section Lead, Indiana Roadway Section Lead, and Freight Planning Section Lead.
- Manage project staffing, planning, execution, and quality control to meet client schedules and budget goals.
- Represent client interests professionally to public officials and stakeholders.
- Participate in business development: engage in client meetings, proposals, and positioning with new opportunities.
- Partner with the Alternative Delivery group for workshare opportunities and evaluate local delivery projects.
- Coordinate communication with area, regional, and company‑wide Business Class and Market Sector Leads.
- Provide staff development, mentoring, performance evaluations, and compensation input.
- Report to the IL/IN Area Transportation Business Group Manager.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Professional registration, license or certification, as required.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Good leadership and organizational skills.
- Commitment to being an active participant in our employee‑owned culture.
