We are seeking detail-oriented and proactive Dispatchers to join our growing team. The Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring on time delivery to NOW Courier customers. The role ensures that drivers, vehicles, and routes are scheduled efficiently to meet customer needs and company goals. Dispatchers monitor driver performance, track deliveries and pickups, respond to changing conditions (such as traffic or weather), and provide real-time support to drivers on the road.
This role serves as the central point of communication between drivers, customers, and internal teams, monitoring order progress throughout the day and proactively resolving issues to maintain high service levels and operational efficiency.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Onsite Dispatch & Driver Support- Must be onsite during scheduled shifts to support operations and real‑time decision making.
- Assign delivery orders to independent contract drivers based on route efficiency, delivery windows, and driver availability.
- Issues time managed assignment of orders.
- Monitor deliveries in real time to ensure orders are completed on schedule and in accordance with customer expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers throughout the day, providing direction, updates, and support as needed.
- Adjust routes and assignments as needed due to weather, traffic, breakdowns, or other operational challenges.
- Resolve delivery issues and escalations quickly to minimize service disruptions.
- Communicate with internal team and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or changes in scheduling in a professional and timely manner.
- Track order progress from dispatch through completion, ensuring accurate documentation in dispatch and transportation systems.
- Monitors fleet availability proactively to maintain 100% on‑time and accurate completion ratio.
- Communicate real‑time updates based on firsthand visibility of orders, drivers, and onsite operations.
- Collaborate with operations, customer service, and management to improve dispatch efficiency and on‑time performance.
- Assist with customer service by answering customer emails and phone calls when needed.
This job has no employee supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or G.E.D.; and two years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience working in the logistics and distribution industry is desired.

- Experience in dispatching (trucking or logistics preferred).
- Proficiency with dispatch/tracking software and Microsoft Office.
