** About the role
** The CDL Driver II is responsible for the safe transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials between customer locations and Reworld facilities. Drivers will operate a variety of Class A equipment, including tanker trailers, van body trucks, and roll-off equipment, while ensuring compliance with all DOT, federal, state, and company safety regulations.  ### Primary Responsibilities
* Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.
* Operate tanker trailers, van body trucks, and roll-off equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
* Load, transport, and unload materials while maintaining compliance with DOT and customer requirements.
* Conduct thorough pre-trip, post-trip, and en route vehicle inspections.
* Maintain assigned schedules and delivery commitments while prioritizing safety.
* Secure loads and verify materials are transported safely and efficiently.
* Follow all company, local, state, and federal regulations governing commercial vehicle operations.  ### Additional Responsibilities
* Complete and maintain all required transportation documentation, including manifests, bills of lading, logs, inspection reports, delivery receipts, and incident reports.
* Ensure proper placarding and regulatory compliance for hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and operations personnel regarding route status, delays, and service requirements.
* Follow written and verbal routing instructions and customer-specific procedures.
* Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at customer sites.
* Promote a strong safety culture and immediately report safety concerns or incidents.
* Perform other duties as assigned.  ###

Required Qualifications
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Valid CDL Class A license required.
* Tanker endorsement required.
* Minimum of 3 years of commercial Class A driving experience.
* Acceptable motor vehicle record.
* Ability to meet all DOT physical, drug screening, and background check requirements.
* Ability to work regional routes or home daily schedules as assigned.  ###

Preferred Qualifications
* Hazmat endorsement preferred.
* Experience operating tanker trailers, van body trucks, and/or roll-off equipment.
* Experience transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.
* High School Diploma or GED.  ### Physical Demands
* Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, and enter/exit commercial vehicles throughout the workday.
* Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
* Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
