Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a long-term contract position. The ideal individual will bring expertise in managing accounts receivable processes, invoicing, and collections in a meticulous and dependable manner.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and cash applications.

- Monitor and reconcile outstanding balances to ensure timely collections.

- Address and resolve billing discrepancies with accuracy and efficiency.

- Maintain detailed and accurate financial records using company ERP and Microsoft Excel.

- Handle credit and collections operations to resolve payment issues and minimize overdue accounts.

- Perform periodic billing tasks while adhering to established schedules.

- Assist with account reconciliation and financial reporting related to accounts receivable activities.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all receivable functions.

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts receivable.

- Proficiency in billing functions, cash application, and collections processes.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and reporting.

- Experience resolving invoice discrepancies and managing billing collections.

- Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy under deadlines.

- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.

- Associate degree or equivalent experience in accounting or finance is preferred.
