Purpose of the Role:

The key purpose of this role is to facilitate the accounting, tax and audit operations of the Arrow McLaren Indy Car Team. This role will be responsible for month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Additionally, this role will take lead in responding to all audit and tax inquiries. The ideal candidate has a strong technical accounting background, excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with peers from many different backgrounds.

Principal Accountabilities:

* Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with GAAP.

* Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and investigate any variances or discrepancies.

* Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

* Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

* Review and analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness.

* Support internal and external audits by providing schedules, documentation, and explanations.

* Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.

* Assist with processing AP, AR, Payroll.

* Assist in budget and forecast preparation by providing historical data and analysis.

* Work with department heads to develop budgets and maintain forecasts.

* Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.

* Manage yearly 1099 process.

* Work closely with VP of Finance & Business and McLaren Racing UK counterparts to ensure a smooth month end close process.

Job requirements

Knowledge,

Skills and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting

* 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting environment

* Excellent Microsoft office (excel) skills, and ability to learn accounting systems

* Attention to detail, with proven experience to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

* Highly organized

* Team Player, willing to assist in areas outside of their immediate job description when necessary

* Excellent written and oral communication skills and thrive at working under pressure
