Accounting Professional

Remote Hybrid Schedule- 8am-5pm Monday-Friday/ Thursday & Friday in Office

Must Haves:

• Excel skills (ideally someone would say 4/10 or above if asked to rate their skills on a 1-10 scale)
• SAP experience is preferred
• Bachelor's in accounting/finance or related field (required) and 2 years of Accounting experience

The NAFSC Accounting Professional position will involve interaction with various Accounting and Business departments and will include providing any business-related accounting items to various teams. There will be certain activities required to be completed by GBS on behalf of Defense due to the sale of a portion of the marine business to an external buyer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete tasks to provide accounting details ocuments for AP, AR, GL or cash items to the Defense finance teams/buyer as requested.
• Complete coordination efforts on data required by M&A group.
• Complete other ad hoc requirements such as completing reconciliations, reviewing journal entries etc. as laid out by management.

Qualifications
Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 2+ years of experience in accounting or a Master's degree in Accounting or Finance and 2+ years of experience in accounting
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Knowledge of general accounting such as accounting entries, reconciliations and analysis.

Preferred:

• Demonstration of effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions, high volume of activities and multiple demands and deadlines.
