Accounting Manager / Controller
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule: Fully in-office
Salary: $90,000–$115,000
About the Opportunity
A family-owned construction company in Indianapolis is looking for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of its accounting operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a laid-back, close-knit environment, wants a voice in process improvements, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small business.
What You'll Do
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice approvals
- Manage month-end close and financial reporting
- Handle WIP reporting and AIA billing
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and help support the company's continued growth
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of accounting experience preferred, with a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
- Construction accounting experience required
- Experience with WIP reporting and AIA billing
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Adaptable, hands-on, and comfortable sharing ideas and taking initiative
- Small-company experience is a plus
