We are seeking a talented and driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic IT company in Indianapolis. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth, expanding our client base, and forging strategic partnerships to position our company as a leader in the IT industry.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to identify new business opportunities and achieve sales targets.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, understand their needs, and develop tailored solutions to meet their IT requirements.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in target industries and organizations.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, qualifying leads, conducting presentations, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase our IT solutions to potential clients.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote our brand, build relationships, and generate leads.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales collateral, case studies, and marketing campaigns to support business development efforts.
- Track and analyze sales metrics, generate regular reports, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Continuously build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities, effectively managing the sales funnel to ensure a steady flow of new business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or a similar role, preferably in the IT industry.
- Strong knowledge of the IT services and solutions landscape, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, software development, and infrastructure management.
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a track record of building and maintaining successful client relationships.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles and close deals effectively.
- Strategic mindset and business acumen, with the ability to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive advantages.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales tools to track and manage sales activities, leads, and opportunities.
