B&N Roadway Designer

Supported and mentored by a team of technical experts and project managers to design and produce plans for a variety of transportation design projects for the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT).

• Collaborate on plan production to produce high‑quality plans and specifications that follow INDOT standards and guidelines.
• Manage and coordinate project drawings using Micro Station and InRoads software.
• Complete design tasks and produce high‑quality plans, specifications, and estimate deliverables to create an exemplary client experience.
• Collaborate with engineering staff on technical challenges while adhering to task performance indicators, budgets, and schedules.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Associate’s degree or college training may be substituted for some, but not all 10+ years of relevant experience.
• INDOT Utility Coordination Certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering design and production software (Micro Station, Open Roads Designer, AutoCAD and Civil3D).
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment.
• Self‑motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs.
