Responsibilities- Lead and manage environmental planning, permitting and documentation for a wide variety of infrastructure projects.
- Oversee preparation of technical reports including Waters of the U.S. Reports, NEPA documents, environmental impact assessments and critical habitat evaluations.
- Manage environmental compliance and consultation with federal and state regulatory agencies, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
- Supervise and mentor junior environmental staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal design teams, engineers, clients and stakeholders from project scoping through construction.
- Develop scopes, schedules and budgets for environmental components of multidisciplinary projects.
- Represent the company at public meetings, client presentations and regulatory discussions.
- Ensure alignment with local, state and federal environmental regulations and policies.
- Assist with Business Development efforts related to environmental projects and maintain good relationships with existing clients and prospects in industry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology or related discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in environmental consulting or project management, ideally with infrastructure or transportation projects.
- Demonstrated success managing NEPA compliance and permitting processes for complex projects.
- Strong understanding of environmental laws and regulations, including NEPA, Section 106, Endangered Species Act and Clean Water Act.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with a history of mentoring junior staff and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent technical writing, presentation and communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency with GIS and environmental data analysis tools preferred.
