Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a 2nd Shift Solar Equipment Engineer. In this role, you will ensure the seamless operation of machinery and equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, repairing and upgrading equipment, and optimizing throughput to support safety, efficiency, and reliability of our solar manufacturing processes.

Monday – Thursday, 5:00pm – 3:30am

• Lead by example in upholding all company safety protocols
• Analyze, inspect, maintain, and repair all solar-module manufacturing equipment in the facility
• Perform root cause analysis, devise solutions, implement improvements, and establish prevention measures for equipment problems
• Continuously monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and other KPIs as directed
• Maintain equipment and keep meticulous records of performance, failures, downtime, and corrective actions to build a database of lessons learned
• Purchase spare parts, track requests, and maintain spare part safety stock
• Participate in planning, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and determine facilities requirements
• Develop and manage the Preventive Maintenance Program with Operations to ensure timely checks
• Guide and coach junior equipment technicians in maintenance and troubleshooting
• Coordinate activities with other shift personnel and cross-functional departments as needed

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field
• 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance in a high-speed manufacturing environment
• Proficient in MS Office; strong mechanical/electrical design principles and servo controls; CAD drawings and programming software
• Strong experience with automated solar-module manufacturing equipment (e.g., welding machines, laminators, stringers, busbar machines, cutting machines)
• Strong sense of responsibility with excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Creative problem-solving skills and ability to mentor/train junior staff
