Position Summary
Shrewsberry and Associates is seeking a Stormwater Project Engineer for our Indianapolis office. The selected engineer will be technically proficient and provide coordination of project execution and control of stormwater stand alone and transportation related projects from initial startup through final design.
- Drainage design including the design of storm sewers, culverts, water quality facilities, open channels, bridge hydraulics and stormwater permitting.
- Coordinate efforts as part of a design team to produce complete and accurate design work.
- Work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and contribute to the growth of the Stormwater group.
- Responsible for project delivery on stormwater and related design projects.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater management designs standards.
- Erosion control and/or stormwater management plans
- Development of specifications, technical report writing and engineering support of construction
- Serve as lead drainage technical liaison with client on project efforts.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Drainage design including the design of storm sewers, culverts, water quality facilities, open channels, bridge hydraulics and stormwater permitting.
- Coordinate efforts as part of a design team to produce complete and accurate design work.
- Work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and contribute to the growth of the Stormwater group.
- Responsible for project delivery on stormwater and related design projects.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater management designs standards.

Required
Education and/or Experience
- BS in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer in Indiana or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 4 years of drainage design experience
- Experience with some or all of the following:
Open Roads Designer SUDA, Civ3D SSA, Civil Storm, SRH2D, HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS2D, HY-8
- MS in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering
- Experience working with Departments of Transportation, local municipalities, and local, state and federal regulatory agencies
- Familiarity with GIS
- Proficiency in some or all of the following: ORD SUDA, Civ3D SSA, Civil Storm, SRH2D, HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS2D, HY-8
