As the Operations Technology & Automation Engineer you will be responsible for Arcwood's automation strategy and implementation by designing, programming, simulating, and testing automated processes while assisting with reliability and risk aversion across the enterprise. This role will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems and maintain optimal performance and requires continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies and methodologies.

This role reports to the Director, Corporate Engineering within the Operational and Engineering Center of Excellence.

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and always maintaining safe practices.
• Actively reviews practices, workflows and systems to identify opportunities and advises on appropriate interventions for process improvements that impact production and business results.
• Facilitates change management by engaging with cross‑functional teams to foster a culture of system‑based, proactive and automated improvements; provides training and support to employees at all levels to encourage the adoption of new processes and tools.
• Drives knowledge exchange with technology experts (plant resources, engineering solutions, internal/external consultant groups, sister plants, etc.) to increase awareness of potential improvement opportunities.
