Position Overview
Patient Transporters are responsible for safely transporting patients throughout the hospital to designated departments, testing areas, procedures, and other locations. Candidates must be dependable, professional, comfortable working in a hospital environment, and able to provide excellent service while interacting with patients and hospital staff.
IMPORTANT:
Candidates must not have previously worked at this St. Vincent location.
Hiring Process
Candidates will be required to interview for the position. Selected candidates must successfully complete all required pre-employment and healthcare onboarding requirements before beginning work.
Required Contingencies / Onboarding
Candidates must complete or provide documentation for the following:
Urine Drug Screen
Vitals
Far Vision Screening
Color Vision Screening
TB Testing and Screening
MMR: 2 doses OR positive titers for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella
Varicella: 2 doses OR positive Varicella titer
Tdap:
Adult dose (age 11 or older)
Respiratory Mask Fit Testing
Flu Vaccination when in season — currently not required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association, including CPR and AED
Background Check
High School Diploma or High School Transcripts

St. Vincent Health System/TouchPoint's adjudication standard states that applicants are disqualified for felony convictions involving drug-related activity, violence, fraud, or dishonesty, as well as misdemeanor convictions involving drugs, violence, or dishonesty within the previous five years.
Felony or misdemeanor convictions older than five years are reviewed individually based on the nature and date of the offense, number of incidents, and how the offense relates to the position.
