Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
Base pay range
$45.00/hr - $50.00/hr
Work arrangementHybrid 3 days per week in Indianapolis, IN
Duration: 1 year assignment
Key Accountabilities- Support the monthly financial reporting process for Defense; responsibilities include posting journals and completing actual and forecast schedules with supporting commentary and variance analysis.
- Provide Business partner services as required.
- Support the development and maintenance of the Strategic Plan, Five Year Plan, in‑year forecast, and AP’ly opportunities, threats, and levers.
- Perform monthly Balance Sheet reviews, validating and explaining key Balance Sheet movements and closing out key control items as required.
- Present financial data to management and be capable of validating and explaining the accounting policies, principles, and procedures involved.
- Improve financial processes and maintain their alignment with associated processes.
- Research and review accounting issues and provide recommendations and support.
- Support the development and maintenance of long‑term project and contract profit plans, including Long‑Term Contract Reviews (LTCRs).
- Provide ad hoc support such as, but not limited to, contract billings and payments and misc. financial analysis as required for the Defense Finance team.
- Associate’s Degree with at least 4+ years of Accounting or Financial analysis experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 2+ years of Accounting or Financial analysis experience.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Reporting.
- Experience in Aerospace/Manufacturing.
The ideal candidate should have a familiarity with financial reporting, solid understanding of basic accounting principles, as well as strong communication and organizational skills. Be able to work within an Agile environment, pick up tasks and responsibilities quickly.
