The Cash Application Specialist at Spot plays an important role in ensuring timely and accurate posting of Spot’s customers payments to invoices. This process is integral to our success as the accounts receivable team is responsible for the day-to-day management of one of our biggest assets. Individuals that will enjoy and succeed in this role are detail-oriented, able to multitask, and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

• Processing payments:
  Record checks, ACH, Wire, and credit card transactions and applying payments to the correct customer accounts.
• Reconciling accounts:
  Reconciling payment with invoices or accounts and resolving payment discrepancies.
• Maintaining remittance records to ensure they are saved in a timely fashion for AR clerks to do research as needed.
• Working with the A/R team to resolve any cash application issues that may arise from accounts from customer inquiries or collection of balances.
• Assist in the A/R collection process as needed with statement sending or other duties.

• High school degree or GED required;
  Associates degree in Business or Accounting/Finance is preferred.
• 2+ years of A/R or billing experience; experience in a logistics or third-party organization is a bonus.
• A strong sense of urgency to complete tasks in order to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
