Controller – Humane Society for Hamilton County (Fishers, IN)
$75,000–$85,000 | Full‑Time | Hybrid Schedule (Some Remote Flexibility)

Join the Humane Society for Hamilton County as our next Controller — a strategic financial leader who ensures every dollar advances our no‑kill mission and life‑saving work.
What You’ll Do:- Oversee budgeting, reporting, and daily accounting operations (Quick Books & Excel)
- Partner with leadership and the Finance Committee on data‑driven decisions
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow
- Lead audit prep, Form 990 filings, and compliance reporting
- Strengthen financial systems and transparency across departments
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (CPA or nonprofit experience a plus)
- 5+ years in accounting or finance leadership
- Tech‑savvy with Quick Books, Excel, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Strong communication skills with financial and non‑financial audiences
- A heart for mission‑driven work and ethical leadership
