Postdoctoral Researcher Position
Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, Indiana.
Position SummaryPostdoctoral researcher to join Dr. Charlie Dong’s laboratory focused on the pathogenesis and molecular mechanisms of diabetes, obesity, fatty liver disease, and cancer using cell systems and animal models. Lab is funded by NIH.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute experiments to investigate disease mechanisms.
- Perform cell culture, molecular biology, and animal pathophysiology assays.
- Analyze data and prepare manuscripts for publication.
- Collaborate with team members and present findings at meetings.
- PhD in biomedical sciences with substantial hands‑on research experience.
- Experience in molecular biology, cell biology, and animal pathophysiology.
- Strong publication record in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Experience with animal experiments is helpful.
- Organizational skills and teamwork.
- Scholarship or teaching experience.
