Job Summary

As a Front Office Host, you’ll be the first and last impression for our guests. You’ll provide thoughtful arrivals, seamless check-ins, and warm departures. In this role, you’ll handle inquiries, resolve guest needs, and support fellow departments when needed, always delivering courteous and professional service. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and a natural sense of care.

Hiring Timeline
  • Training opportunities available November–December 2023 (limited hours)

  • Full-Time and Part-Time positions begin January 2024

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests with a warm, professional, and personalized welcome.

  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Process same-day and future reservations using proper rate structures and discount policies.

  • Respond to inquiries regarding hotel services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, and more.

  • Accommodate special requests and assist guests with any room or service concerns.

  • Cancel or modify reservations per hotel policies.

  • Maintain awareness of hotel operations and procedures to guide and inform guests.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Support Bell Staff, Communications, or Reservations as needed during high volume or absence.
  • Re-key guest rooms as necessary and maintain inventory of keys.
  • Verify guest registration cards and ensure accuracy in all records.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 3 months to 1 year of front desk, hospitality, or guest services experience preferred.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Working knowledge of front office operations and guest service procedures (training provided).
    • Ability to operate a computer, reservation system, and handle transactions accurately.
    • Fluency in English required; a second language is a plus.
    • Ability to handle sensitive guest interactions with care and professionalism.
Physical & Schedule Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift with flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Scheduled days and times may vary based on business needs.
